This walk brings you to what was known as the fifth most industrial centre of Canada. Maisonneuve was a city of itself between 1883 and 1918\, the year when it then became part of Montreal. At this time\, there was a soap factory\, textile factory\, shoe factory and more. As for Viauville\, it is famous for the Whippet cookies originally made by the Viau cookie factory that was founded by Charles-Théodore Viau\, therefore the name of Viauville borough. \nVisit our Wiki (City Walks) to register for this week’s walk.
