SUMMARY:C10-Berthierville\, QC
DESCRIPTION:Berthierville\, QC\nSaturday 11 July 2026\nThe historic village of Berthierville offers a nice waterfront and 4 pleasant cycling routes through rich farming country. There is a lovely new route that goes to the Iles de Berthierville and then takes a ferry downriver before looping back through the countryside (67 km\, 245 m climb). Several other routes pass through the covered bridge Pont Grandchamp. Two shorter routes are fairly flat (49 and 58 km with climbs of 172 m and 233 m respectively)\, both with a lunch stop in Sainte-Élisabeth. The slightly longer 73 km route is moderately hilly (346 m of climb)\, with a lunch stop in either Sainte-Élisabeth or Saint-Félix-de-Valois. The 77 km route (563 m climb) provides a scenic and hilly ride that is mostly uphill until lunch at Saint-Félix-de-Valois\, and mostly downhill thereafter. Stop at a pleasant waterfront pub at the end of the day. \nCyclists from the South Shore may want to leave their car at the Sorel ferry terminal\, take the ferry with their bikes and cycle to the starting point (5.6 km one way). \nFor more information\, please consult How Our Rides Work. \nVisit our Wiki (Cycling) to register for this week’s ride\, download maps\, and get weather-related updates. The signup sheet will be open from the Tuesday before a Saturday ride: sign up by Friday at 7 pm.
