A place to connect\, outside of the usual hiking\, cycling\, or winter sports. \nStarting September 2026\, and monthly thereafter\, we will meet for lunch at 11:30 am on a rotating weekday (Monday through Thursday) at a different place in a different part of the city\, reachable by public transit. Each person is responsible for their own lunch. \nFrom the Biodome to a Chinese restaurant in NDG\, and more — discover new places and see friendly faces.  \nNo sign-up is required. Participants may decide to do a post lunch activity together. The original residents who built their homes here were owners and business leaders of Canadian industry such as railroads\, timber\, mining\, banking\, furs\, shipping\, etc. Most were Scottish or of Scottish descent. The peak of the Golden Square Mile was between 1850 and 1930\, and it’s believed that 70 percent of Canada’s wealth was held by these men. The neighbourhood developed principally during those years.
