| The Canadian Ski Marathon is neither a marathon nor a race. It is an amazing 2-day cross-country ski event that is open to all levels of skiers. It started in 1967 to celebrate Canada’s 100th birthday and has since grown to become North America’s best cross country ski adventure. Participants can do as little as one section (about 13 km) or do all 10 sections over the 2 days to complete all 160 km (100 miles).
The 2026 event will be held on Feb 7 & 8 . To celebrate its 60 years the Marathon will be returning to the Northern route. Saturday will start south of Mont Tremblant and end at Golf Heritage in Notre-Dame-de-la-Paix. Sunday will start at Golf Heritage and finish in Montebello. Skiers of all ages and abilities can register for distances ranging from 12 km to 160 km on classic groomed trails through a breathtaking winter landscape. Registration opens in late November and you won’t regret signing up to participate in this wonderful event. Visit the CSM website for more information about the CSM’s history, this year’s trail description, and registration information, or send an email to info@skimarathon.ca if you have any questions. |
