A weekend in Lévis/Quebec City is back on the RA calendar by popular demand! This is a beautiful area for cycling, with a variety of routes. Ride in the beautiful Lévis area and follow part of Quebec’s “Route Verte” which runs along the St. Lawrence River. Discover the Parcours des Anses, a cycling path along the Saint-Lawrence River that offers a panoramic view of the fortifications of Quebec City, the Frontenac castle, Île d’Orléans and the Montmorency Falls. Inland portions of rides go through forests and fields, in many stretches taking advantage of well-designed bike paths such as the Parcours Harlaka, the Cycloroute de Bellechasse, and the Parcours de la Rivière Etchemin.
Or take the ferry across the river and ride into Quebec City and on to the Montmorency Falls or on the city’s bike paths. Another option is to drive to the Île d’Orleans and cycle around this beautiful and historic island.
Note that this weekend is not on the Victoria Day long weekend but rather two weeks later to benefit from better weather and lower prices.
