Rides start in Vankleek Hill, which is proud of its well-preserved Victorian architecture: it is the “Gingerbread Capital of Ontario.” All cyclists start on the same route but there is a choice of different lengths. Many traditional Quebec houses, especially around Calixa-Lavallée. Roads are quiet and generally smooth. The 53 km route (137 m climb) includes particularly lovely stretches through Otterburn Park and around the Bassin de Chambly. The 82 km route (269 m climb) includes about 12 km along the Yamaska River that is also much appreciated.
