The lovely rolling countryside offers a wide variety of rides for every level, some crossing the border into Vermont. Take a leisurely ride past vineyards and bucolic scenery or, if you are up for a challenge, some routes offer long climbs and steep descents. Vankleek Hill, ON Saturday 30 August 2025 Routes newly redesigned to avoid traffic and rough roads. Rides start in Vankleek Hill, which is proud of its well-preserved Victorian architecture: it is the “Gingerbread Capital of Ontario.” All cyclists start on the same route but there is a choice of different lengths. Rides are on quiet roads through farmland and a few small towns and all have a stretch along the Ottawa River with lovely views.
